Hello and welcome to Cajun Report!
Here at Cajun Report, we’ll be primarily covering all things University of Louisiana at Lafayette, LSU, McNeese State, Tulane University and Louisiana Tech athletics. In addition, we’ll also be covering local high school sports in and around the Lafayette area, as well as the New Orleans Saints (NFL) and the New Orleans Pelicans (NBA).
As of the site’s launch in April of 2020, Cajun Report is a one-man show led by 27-year-old writer and photographer Ben Heck.
About Ben Heck — Owner/Executive Editor
Ben is relatively new to the area, arriving in Lafayette in December of 2019. Originally from Centreville, Maryland, he spent 3+ years in the state of Delaware as a sportswriter, editor and photographer for three newspapers; the daily Delaware State News and two monthly papers. He was hired in September of 2016 and served in the position until Dec. 18, 2019. The next day, Dec. 19, he was packed up and made the 20-hour drive to Louisiana.
